Rev. Allison Henderson-Brooks is the perfect combination of skill, wit, personality, passionate energy and insight. She was born in Augusta, GA and reared in Peachtree City, GA. As a 4th generation Baptist minister, she was baptized at the age of 10 by the late Rev. Dr. Howard W. Creecy Sr., licensed to preach in 2016 and ordained in 2019. Allison is a proud graduate at Atlanta’s historic Spelman College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature in 2008. In May of 2019, Allison received her Master of Divinity from Candler School of Theology at Emory University. Professionally, Allison mastered the art of hospitality serving successfully in the disciplines of Operations Management, Systems Implementation and Revenue Management Systems. She has served in leadership positions within 3 of the world’s iconic and largest hotel brands having been recognized globally for her contributions. Currently, Allison serves as the inaugural Assistant Director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and Program Coordinator for the Doctor of Ministry Program at Candler School of Theology at Emory. She is also a sought-after itinerant preacher. Allison is happily married to Andrew Brooks and they are the proud parents of an inquisitive and adventurous 9-year-old son, Andrew Brooks II., Her goals, dreams and aspirations in life are embodied in this quote by Benjamin Elijah Mays that simply states, “In all that you do strive to do it so well that no man living, no man dead, and no man yet to be born can do it better.”
