The Reverend Dr. Charles E. Goodman Jr. celebrates 13 years as the Senior Pastor and Teacher of The Historic Tabernacle Baptist Church of Augusta, Georgia. Dr. Goodman is an avid learner and pupil of excellence: Undergraduate degree – Wake Forest University with honors, Master of Divinity degree – Candler School of Theology Emory University; Doctor of Ministry – Wesley Theological Seminary Washington, DC; Master of Management degree – Cambridge College Concentration in Organizational Leadership; Practitioner of the Clergy Scholars Program hosted by Yale University; Certified Executive Diversity Coach – Howard University School of Business/Coach Diversity Institute; Currently enrolled at the Clamp Divinity School -Anderson University pursuing a PhD in Leadership. Dr. Goodman serves as an adjunct professor/mentor at institutions of higher learning. He is also a content contributor to many ministry publications and has authored four books: “You Can’t Run from Purpose,” “Road to Recovery,” “The Flip Side of Favor” and “It’s Complicated. ”A native of Greensboro, NC, Pastor Goodman comes from a faith-built foundation demonstrated to him by his grandparents, Deacon Ernest and Mrs. Charlotte Swann, who raised him.
